Our funding priorities are housing, education, and the environment; to ensure a healthy, happy society for the next generation.

housing;

we look to support projects at the local and regional level that add to the affordable, non-subsidized housing stock.

The housing crisis sits at a complex intersection; the deficit in rental and affordable housing stock, the rising cost of living, a decrease in financial security, especially for vulnerable people, and a lack of diverse, permanent, well-paying jobs has created a situation that demands smart, local solutions.

We want to support local organizations who take the lead with solutions that reflect the unique conditions informing the housing crisis and limit the options families and youth have.

Every family should have a home that doesn’t undermine their ability to save for the future.

we invite programs that promote access to education for vulnerable persons, particularly youth and those living with an under-supported mental health or learning need.

Education, at every level for every learner, is integral to fostering healthy, happy societies. It allows for individuals to develop a sense of self, place, and the communities around them.

Most importantly, it is about sharing the unique understanding each person brings to the world. Yet access to education is uneven based on race, gender, ability, and sexuality, inhibiting a rich diversity of voices within our educational systems and our collective potential for greater understanding and progress.

Unequal access to education has a long history that calls for creative, research-based solutions.

we support local and regional organizations that protect and enhance the environment.

Environmental justice and sustainability are diverse, continuous processes; they exist at the intersection of community, knowledge, and ecological values.

Without clear air, clean water, and clean soil, it is impossible to do anything to protect our homes, educations, and futures. It is at the local level that we see the important work of transforming towards a sustainable society occurring; where inspiring solutions from grassroots organizations address the particular needs and conditions of our communities.

The accelerating climate crisis must be addressed with urgency to protect the needs of future generations.

Recipients of our grants must address these issues with creativity, connection, and community in mind.
